Many of us are so deeply immersed in life’s race, up to the point that we take the things that allow us to exist here for granted. The most basic things that enable us to live on this planet, aren’t dependent on us, but some of them are destroyed by our actions. Our daily routine harms Earth’s structure and that directly affects us. Moreover, I think that somewhere along the line of human evolution we forgot to stop for a moment to appreciate our life here. We have forgotten how many amazing things need to happen in order for us to survive on this planet.
We live on a planet that circles a fireball, which secures it with its gravitational pull to a fixed orbit and prevents our planet from escaping into distant and cold space. In addition, solar energy supports life on Earth, driving the climate. A small deviation from our orbit and we are either burned or frozen to death. The sun is also the basis of other significant processes.
There is a whole ecosystem consisting of all the species on Earth, which by its harmonious balance allows us the most basic conditions for living here. All creation works in cooperation, an amazing fabric which enables the planet to produce oxygen, fertile soil and clean drinking water. Without a functioning ecological balance, these most basic things would disappear. We are endangering this fabric and violating the ecological balance every day.
Covid-19 has arrived and basically disrupted our daily lives, but in fact this is just the beginning. If we are not careful the destructive journey on which we are taking Earth, will reach a point of no return. Life here will be much worse than we could ever imagine. The time to act and make the changes is now, before it’s too late.
We have a lot of problems that we need to take care of. If we don’t deal with these problems, our children and the next generations will definitely have to live with the consequences. But we still have time to prevent this if we act now. Each of us can help prevent the extinction of humanity.
I have expanded on this in various posts and have detailed ways and actions that anyone can take upon him/herself.
Here and here you can find out how to stop global warming, which is occurring as a result of our way of life.
In this post I have detailed the eternal life of plastic and how it returns to us in our water sources and food.
Here I have expanded on ways to help reduce the problem of plastic which harms many living creatures that are important to the ecological balance.
Click here to find ways to help rehabilitate the bee population and understand its importance. The bee population is responsible for most of our food crops and without it we would probably starve to death.
I have also written about the importance of marine life and how it affects our life on land. You will find how to help preserve marine life here.
The planet we are privileged to live on is full of surprises, with breathtaking views and special living creatures. All of these provide us with the necessary living conditions, through complex processes taking place on a daily basis, without us ever having to make any effort. We must cherish and appreciate the wonders of creation and change our lifestyle in order to harmoniously fit in. We must take all precautions not to harm and trample our home, our children’s future and take care not to obliterate all the creatures that live with us.
